Georgia DOT's project register now carries PI 0021885, a planned shared-use path between Pooler Park and the Pooler Recreation Complex, in the Construction Work Program with $10.9 million in estimated project costs. The underlying record was last updated September 21 and was first detected by Urban Savannah on September 30.

Why it matters

The project would create a non-driving connection between Pooler's two primary recreation complexes, linking the facilities at 900 South Rogers Street and 200 Preston Stokes Drive.

What to watch

Watch for preliminary design, a published alignment, right-of-way activity and a construction award. GDOT currently reports 0% construction and no contractor or start date.

Talmadge Bridge program reaches 4.39%

Georgia DOT’s current project dashboard now lists the overall Talmadge Memorial Bridge maintenance project at 4.39 percent complete. That is a later official status for the same project and pointer already verified on September 30; GDOT’s project page still separates the overall program from the cable-replacement work package, whose field work was expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
