The Effingham Burns Solar Farm filing would put 150 acres of a timber farm into electricity production near Highway 119 and Little McCall Road. The 27-megawatt, $25 million proposal targets a 2027 construction start and a 30-year operating life. The state DRI filing starts regional review; it is not local approval, and Georgia Power says the project is not in its current power-purchase portfolio.
