Bryan County submitted a new Development of Regional Impact filing for the Blitchton Bryan Oaks warehouse proposal: 1,137,500 square feet of warehouse space, four commercial driveways and related roads and utilities on 104.6 acres at 4465 US Highway 80.

Why it matters

The proposal is large enough to require regional review, and the new filing revives the same roughly 1.1-million-square-foot warehouse concept reviewed as DRI 3556 in 2022. The current record is a filing, not a new approval or construction start.

What to watch

The Coastal Georgia Regional Commission must determine whether the filing warrants review and issue its finding before Bryan County acts on the requested rezoning.
